Waste of time and money. I've placed 4 orders total to convenience stores for "grocery items." One store had nothing, and I'm waiting on a refund. The others gave me a few dollars worth of junk food (a bag of chips, a cup of noodles, a box of KD). One gave me broken, non-food items including damaged padlocks and cheap plastic toys. If I wanted these things, I could buy them fresh and intact for the money I wasted using this app.
Was excited to try this app. After downloading it, it will not allow me to register (not sure if it's because I am not allowing ALL the the cookies- allowed the mandatory one but not the marketing one - which was OPTIONAL). As a result, it gives an error message and takes me back to the signin/register screen - loop. - Don't say it's OPTIONAL if it isn't or allow users access (to register/login) instead of wasting our time.
Should let you know that it isn't available everywhere, before asking you for so much personal data!
Awful payment processing that fails very frequently
The THTG team is extremely unprofessional and unsympathetic. Their "apparent" pricing for the products is misleading. I saved a bag which was suggested to be worth £12, but discounted to £4. I got a croissant. WHAT THE???? I understand that you cannot guarantee what needs to be saved, but this is a repeated experience. When I raised it with the THTG team, there was useless response linking to useless terms.
Too Good To Go has been nothing but a bad for me. I "Reserved" bags at two places. Both times the employees just looked at me. They had no idea what Too Good to Go is and could not help me at all. In both cases, there were a specific number of bags reserved. In the second establishment, four bags were supposedly reserved and were to be picked up between 9-10 pm. By 4 pm, all four showed as having been reserved. Yet no one knew anything about this at the restaurant. So embarrassing.
Each time after purchase the app with popup few junk messages that deserved one star, don't force your greedy to consumer
Don't spend more than the asking price
A good idea, done completely wrong. Stores should make the food to go, and then sell it, simple. What they actually do is just put the to go food up for sale, several times a day, and hope when you get to the store they have some. I arrived at several stores after paying just to be told the food had gone, or they had none. Why take my money if there's no products? I rechecked the app after this just to see the store still had an option for sale, just selling nothing over and over again.
I was expecting a surprise bag of fruits and vegetables, but instead, I ended up with a salad that included bacon. I'm quite disappointed as this wasn't what I was anticipating. I hope there will be Halal options in the coming versions.
