Took my money for months. When I went to use it after a few months I couldn't log in any more and it didn't recognize the Google account from which it has been helping itself to $4.99 a month so I couldn't even do a password reset. This is just about the worst a subscription based app can do.
Android user, offline maps work sometimes, 50/50 chance from my experience. Offline sat imagery is too low resolution to be useful. Trying to save a waypoint while recording track will end track recording. Saving offline maps is a pain, needs a grid so overlapping doesn't occur. Overall not impressed
I find it fiddly but more importantly I gave it a shot on trial, cancelled because I just cant get anything out of it personally and somehow I managed to be charged $55 bucks after I ordered their map book and scanned the app code. On the book it is suggestive the app access to the map book is available in app. Is not clear that it isn't included with map book. Anyway the app blows. In my opinion. And don't get me started on crashes. Mostly I'm pissed about being charged for this garbage
I've loved this app for year and the paper back book for years before the app. although I was not aware that when you use the app it saves your waypoints to the device you use not your account. years of hidden gems and amazing spots gone. quite frustrating
You have to give them money before your givin anything useful.
Frustrating. I have had a subscription since 2021. WHEN the app works, it's fantastic. It doesn't work very often. Lots of places I plan bike trips in don't have cell service, and Google maps struggles. So I use this. But now I also need paper maps, and several phones because this app always crashes and/or tells me my password is wrong.
downloaded app a little while ago but never used it. now I'm trying to start the 7 day free trial because its the only way the app will let you sign up to "pro" and it won't work. app just goes back to map screen and does not lead me through a purchase process. sometimes i get the "maps has stopped working" error. using pixel 7.
Been using the paid version for 3 years. Started having issues lately. Emailed the app support people and they won't bother to reply and don't care to help. The route tracking stops working if my device screen is off - this is how I have always used the app. I'm not sure if it's because of my new phone or what? (S23). Hopefully I can get some help, otherwise I.might have to use a different app.
They should really give a coupon code to for the app to the people who spent 25 bucks on a book. Gatekeeping the crown land map should be illegal.
Lost another star! Not only does the app have no navigation features, but even with a subscription it will not synchronize with BRMB own WebMap! Renders the phone app and WebMap close to useless. Customer support keeps talking about adding features in the future, when ever that is!
