Was hoping this would be helpful. Unfortunately, I couldn't even try it
I know some Spanish, but I want to practice more. When I started here, there was no initial check for my level, so they don't have levels, obviously. Also, they start with the formal (usted) form of speaking which can mislead beginners that it is the normal (you) form. I tried it for 10 minutes and I see it is a total waste of time, don't even need a subscription for the locked lessons after lesson 1.
Another organisation that wants to harvest your name and email just in order to try one lesson.
Says you can call 24 hours a day on #6. on your cancellation clause. THAT'S A LIE.
They lie and hide your subscription to try to scam you out of your money. If you go into the app to try to cancel the free trial, it will say you have no active subscription, but this is just a lie. You have to go through your account on the play store, and go to subscriptions there to cancel.
The 7 day free trial is just one lesson. They don't give up hardly anything but one 28 minute lesson.
I did like this app. I tried it in my car on Bluetooth and for some reason it keeps skipping around and forgetting what lesson you are saying on, and you either have to start a lesson over or begin a new one. I paid for a month two dats ago and this morning the app won't let me continue my lessons, acts like I haven't paid. For such a simple app, these people really get it wrong and I DO NOT recommend wasting your money on it.
I wish there were more African languages. Otherwise, this app would've been okay. Response to Pimsleur's message: There are only two African languages? This further proves my point.
Don't sign up - horrible billing practices, horrible customer service, horrible company.
Lol at price.
