My device is a FiiO m11 Pro. I've been using MMW for a while to put files on my microSD card and this has worked fine in the native player. Installed MMA so I could do better playlists and more easily. MMA scanned (very slowly) for songs and 63 albums with CORRECT tag info are identified as "unknown". This is unacceptable. The tag info IS CORRECT. I pulled the card and checked for errors with Mp3Tag and there are NONE. Why is MMA doing this?
Horribly complicated. You have to have your phone at your side researching poorly written wiki articles to figure out how to do things. This app is not intuitive. Searching for duplicate songs is a tiresome chore. Importing songs can even be needlessly complex. Renaming songs on an album that the database didn't identify is frustrating. My PC version continuously produces error codes forcing you to reboot. I could go on and on, this is a zonk.
Doesn't work
Sync still sucks after several years. Ratings, and playlists don't sync. Album Artists get discarded in favor of the individual song artists, creating a fragmented mess. Media monkey works as a good music player. However, you'll have to reorganize, relabel, and rerate everything on your phone.
Bloody awful confusing and hard to use, I'm sick of mucking about trying to get it to work
I couldn't get the app to co-operate with the file manager to give the necessary access to the media file for the app to work on the device side, and the PC side app was even less usable for library management and device synch on my desktop system where I store my main music/video libraries. It's hard to justify rating a paid app that's fundamentally unusable for its intended (or any other) purpose higher than the minimum possible.
Album Names are not appearing on Android Auto. I sent an email to MediaMonkey and I get an email return that says they have to verify I am a human. When I do this by making an account I can't post because the issue on their site. Until this is corrected, 1 star for customer service.
Scanned my music at a very slow rate which no other music app does on my phone. Sorry. Wanted to like it.
I have MM on my laptop,it does everything I could ask except sync'ing with my devices. Android MM is driving me nuts. I wish someone would tell me why my audio files which are accepted completely on media player, iTunes, MM on my laptop, yet MM android loads wrong jpegs. looking for the best audio experience Upgrades in this direction would be welcomed. Those Q's below .... tell me MM is for me, going in the wrong direction. Now won't load folder, granted 50 x usb audio player is the answer.
Does not support AIFF files. Maybe in mm5 on windows but no suggestions about Android.
