Should make it clear that subscription is required in app description
Awful app. It should be clear from the beginning that everything is locked. Behind a pay wall
First, it forces you to create a Guardian account. After doing so, it then asks for a fee to subscribe to view the recipes. The upfront information does not indicate this.
Have to give them your email address for them to collect
Scrolled past 99 weird recipes. Wanted my credit card to even look at the 1 non-weird one.
The recipe for a good app but it's undercooked. Typing "Coconut, tofu" as in the feature photos yields no results. Without the comma, you get only two. Hard to see if the recipes they do have are any good without signing up to the free trial. Maybe it'll be worth coming back to when it has enough to offer
You need to pay.
Why charge extra for this to those who already subscribe to the Guardian? I also found that the titles/description of the dishes on the app don't match the print version titles and it's not possible to search for particular cooks. It could be so much better.
Tried to unlock a free 3 month trial offered by the Guardian, but would only allow a subscription. It isn't as described, misleading? I stupidly assumed that the Guardian would honour it's promise...
Says download for free, but all recipes are begind a pay wall
