Since its launch in 2003, Linode has evolved from offering virtual private server (VPS) hosting to serving customers in 196 countries with 11 data centers worldwide. In February 2022, Linode was acquired by Akamai Technologies for $900 million.

@davidfowl I always kept a Linode VPS up for any personal, non .NET work. WSL2 effectively killed the need for that.
