The company has a significant customer base in the Midwest and Southeast, and it is the largest broadband provider in Iowa. Founded in 1995 by Rocco B. Commisso, who is also the owner of the New York Cosmos and ACF Fiorentina, Mediacom is headquartered in New York and incorporated in Delaware. Once a publicly traded company, Mediacom went private in a $600 million transaction in March 2011 and is now solely owned by Commisso.

@MediacomCable We have been having random outages for at least a week or two now. This is beyond ridiculous. It was fully up and running flawlessly a few days ago, now it has been out all day, popping on here and there. It is NOT a problem on my end.
i hate @MediacomCable my service constantly cuts out. i was so excited to watch DWTS when i was discharged from the hospital today, only for my internet to cut off halfway through. this happens multiple times a week, for almost $200 a month it’s ridiculous.
@MediacomCable @semarshall2007 I have crappy service from you guys not able to use wifi or stream since august 27th ...my 4th tech out today same issue but you get your money monthly....refund necessary or fix your shitty service
@MediacomCable is it normal to not run an elderly couple that is dependent on your service to provide much needed communication and support to be down for almost two weeks because you didn't run a temporary above ground cable to replace a broken cable?
@KingCr9mson @tcthedecoy @MediacomCable It doesn't typically but the FTC does light a well deserved fire under their asses. I think the reason that they're so understaffed is because they actually try to do their jobs. (I feel sick to my stomach saying that about a government agency).
