@StarTribune I had Starlink, now broadband thank to these fundings. Honestly, Starlink was as good as fiber, and only $ 20 / month more. I think it wouöd be much more efficient to just subsidize Starlink a little instead to invest in fiber for rural areas.
@amaldorai @Jonathan_Blow @esrtweet True also, but the collaborative tools available now & broadband make it easy to share things across geographies. I work closely with colleagues in the US and India as well as in the UK and being remote, don't really care about time zones.
SA has a #WaterShortage, #Powercuts, and now #Broadband problem. Slowly but surely this country will have a total black unless something totally drastic happens. No one is fixing these issues. Imagine not having water, electricity and internet at the same time. It's a #Circus
