Signal Problems in Paris
Signal is an encrypted communications application for Android and iOS. It uses the Internet to send one-to-one and group messages, which can include files, voice notes, images and videos, and make one-to-one voice and video calls. Signal uses standard cellular mobile numbers as identifiers, and uses end-to-end encryption to secure all communications to other Signal users.

@Guiltyqueso @elonmusk @realchrisrufo @signalapp Messages are transmitted in plain text to the Telegram servers via an encrypted tunnel but the content is not encrypted. That is why Telegram syncs so fast between different devices and has larger group sizes than Signal. So Signal is not perfect but it is best we have.

@kryamonogatari @elonmusk @realchrisrufo @signalapp Telegram secure chats are only one to one and basically no one uses them. The research team at Inria I also used to work at broke the MPROTO protocol they used. You need e2e encryption by default.

So hey @signalapp, I received 2 random messages, presumably using the new 'username, number privacy' feature. Never happened before. I did not accept messages, then changed settings so no one can find me using my number. It was that easy. We can be more private online!
