@Marko_Kosovic @PierreDeWulf @SlackHQ What use is an AI model if it isn't able to extract store and reproduce information in its training data? I'm gonna call BS that their anonymisation works. I used to work in public health, and de-anonymisation of data is a very serious issue.

@UK_Daniel_Card @dafr0g_ @SlackHQ Exactly. Ideally this would be opt in but that’s never gonna happen. It should be a simple option in the account management page to opt out and that is the very least they could do.

@UK_Daniel_Card @SlackHQ Not at all. The best learning they can take from this is to add an opt out button. This whole thing originally was about AI and data collection outrage and converted into a much less serious opt out engineering and workflow issue. I'm fine with this.

Oh dear @SlackHQ have you not read any EU, country-specific Data Protection acts or perhaps the new EU AI Act? Individual accountability frameworks and senior exec accountability frameworks are now a real thing.
